Customer Content Privacy Policy

KOBLO LLC offers personalized products that allow you to upload photographs, images, text, and other content to create a custom product (“Customer Content”).

This Customer Content Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and delete Customer Content submitted through our personalized product tools. It supplements our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Collection of Customer Content

When you upload a photo or other Customer Content through our personalized product tools, the uploaded content is saved immediately, including if you do not complete or purchase the design.

Depending on how you use our customization tools, we may also store processed versions of your uploaded content, customization settings, and preview images necessary to create and maintain your personalized design.

How We Use Customer Content

We use Customer Content only as reasonably necessary to:

  • create, save, and display your personalized design and product preview;
  • process and prepare your design for manufacturing;
  • manufacture, fulfill, and deliver your order;
  • provide customer support;
  • process reprints, replacements, or address production and quality issues;
  • troubleshoot and maintain our personalized product tools; and
  • operate the technology and services necessary to provide personalized products.

KOBLO LLC does not claim ownership of the Customer Content you upload.

Service Providers and Fulfillment Partners

We may provide Customer Content to service providers that assist us with technology, file processing, cloud storage, manufacturing, fulfillment, shipping, customer support, and other services reasonably necessary to provide our personalized products. These providers receive Customer Content only as reasonably necessary to perform services on our behalf.

Manufacturing files may be generated from your saved Customer Content as needed to produce your order. KOBLO LLC does not retain the final manufacturing file in its own storage. A manufacturing or fulfillment provider may receive or retain manufacturing files as necessary to produce and fulfill your order and in accordance with its applicable obligations and practices.

Marketing and Public Use

KOBLO LLC does not use customer-uploaded photographs or other Customer Content in advertising, social media, promotional materials, product examples, or other public-facing marketing without your permission. If we would like to feature your Customer Content or personalized product publicly, we will ask for your permission first.

Storage and Retention

Customer Content is retained for different periods depending on how it is used:

Purchased designs: Customer Content associated with a paid order, including the uploaded photo, processed image files, customization settings, and preview images, is retained for 125 days from the date the order is paid. This period allows us to support reprints, replacements, and order-related issues. After 125 days, these files are deleted and KOBLO LLC may no longer be able to reproduce the personalized product from the original design.
Un-purchased or abandoned designs: Customer Content associated with a design that is not purchased is retained for 45 days without an associated order, after which the stored design files are deleted.
Temporary technical files: Temporary files created for troubleshooting, debugging, or technical processing are retained for up to 7 days and are then deleted.

The final manufacturing print file is not retained by KOBLO LLC. When necessary during the applicable retention period, a manufacturing file may be regenerated from the saved Customer Content and customization settings.

These retention periods reflect our current practices and may be changed as our systems, services, or operational requirements change. We may also retain information for a longer period where reasonably necessary or required by law, including for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or compliance with legal obligations.

Customer Content Featuring Other People

Customer Content may include photographs, likenesses, or other personal information relating to individuals other than the person submitting the content.

By uploading Customer Content, you are responsible for having any rights, permissions, or consent required by applicable law to provide that content to KOBLO LLC and to allow us and our service providers to use it for the purposes described in this policy.

Additional requirements relating to Customer Content, including copyright, trademarks, prohibited or illegal content, and your rights and responsibilities when submitting personalized designs, are described in our Terms of Service.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect Customer Content against unauthorized access, use, alteration, disclosure, or loss. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Privacy Rights and Deletion Requests

Depending on where you live, you may have rights relating to your personal information, including the right to access, correct, or request deletion of certain information.

You may contact us to request deletion of Customer Content associated with you. In some circumstances, we may need to retain certain information where required or permitted by law or where necessary to complete or address an existing order, dispute, security matter, or other legal obligation.

Deleting Customer Content may prevent us from processing a pending personalized order, providing a replacement, or reproducing a previously purchased personalized product.
